Disaster Situation

A Magnitude 7.6 Earthquake occurred in West Sumatera, Indonesia at 5:16 pm local time on 30 September 2009. Many building are badly damaged, including hospitals, hotels and houses. According to the Ministry of Health`s Crisis Control Center, the number of people killed in the quake had reached hundreds, which may continue to increase, as many residents were still buried under the rubble of collapsed homes and other buildings caused by the quake which struck at a depth of 71 kilometers, 57 kilometers southwest of Pariaman.
