Disaster Situation
Almost two months already that Cambodia was suffered from the worst flooding ever due to Mekong river surged and overflow of rainfall from upper areas of the country. To date, there were more 18 provinces around Mekong river and Tonle Sap were flooded causing 247 human lifes, more than 200,000 ha of rice production land, more than 80,000 households, and other infrastructures were destroyed. It is the worst flood ever occurred in Cambodia history, particularly because of standing water was more than one month, which caused all flooded crops damaged.
