A Tropical Depression affecting Solomon Is has brought strong winds anda lot of rain causing extensive flooding in the capital city of Honiaraon April 03. Forecasts by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Servicesnotes that more rain is expected over these next few days.The Solomon Islands National Disaster Management Office has reportedthat about 1000 people have been evacuated from flooded areas and 2deaths have occurred. Extensive damage to infrastructure and buildingshas also been reported.
