Disaster Situation

The magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck the central island of Lombok at 05.47 local time (22.47 UTC) on Sunday (29/7/2018) (Source : BMKG). The epicentre was 50 Km north east of the City of Mataram. The worst impact was in East Lombok. More than 160 people are injured and thousands of homes are damaged and 15 people killed. The earthquake is also felt by residents of North Lombok, West Lombok, East Lombok, Mataram, Central Lombok, West Sumbawa and Sumbawa Besar. While Denpasar, Kuta, Nusa Dua, Karangasem, Singaraja and Gianyar also felt earthquake shocks.
