Disaster Situation
Thousands of people have been affected by the flood-like situation in Gujarat. The incessant rain has wreaked havoc on several areas of the state, including Ahmedabad and Rajkot. Rajkot received 7 inches rain last night. The city is facing water logging issues due to heavy rain in Gujarat. Several parts of districts in south and central Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, received very heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours, resulting in a flood-like situation in various low-lying areas. The six worst affected regions include Navsari, Valsad, Dang, Narmada, Chhota Udepur and Panchmahal. (Source: India Today, Jul 12 edition)
