Disaster Situation
Super Typhoon NORU is expected to make landfall at peak intensity of Category 3 Hurricane in the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. The track and date and time is comparable to Tropical Cyclone KETSANA (2009) and intensity to Typhoon RAMMASUN (2014). Based on impact-based forecast model of the ASEAN Disaster Monitoring and Response System (DMRS), 1.56 Million people are exposed to the impacts of STY NORU.
