Heavy rains caused flash floods in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai Province, Vietnam on 8/5/2023. It caused the Mu Cang Chai district to suffer a serious loss of people and property.
Two children aged 1 to 2 years old, residing in Khao Mang commune, were killed by a stone rolling into their house.
Floods damaged 35 houses. The rain was too heavy, and the soil and rock fell and flooded the road to the two communes of Ho Bon and Khao Mang.
