Disaster Situation
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the rainfall from 7:00 p.m. on August 22, 2024 to 8:00 a.m. on August 23, 2024 in Thai Nguyen reached nearly 200 mm. Therefore, Nui Coc Lake had to discharge floodwaters, causing the entire Thai Nguyen city area to be flooded. Some places were flooded up to 2 meters deep.
