Disaster Situation
According to the Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) of Sukabumi Regency Ade Suryaman said that the flood and landslide disaster incident in Sukabumi Regency, West Java on December 4, 2024 was increasingly widespread, which initially only spread across 22 sub-districts, now there are 30 sub-districts affected. The hydrometeorological disasters were dominated by landslides. However, the worst impact was caused by floods. The majority of these disasters occurred in the southern part of Sukabumi Regency, while in the north the intensity was relatively small. The number of victims affected by the disaster was 437 people and 238 people were displaced. One person died and two people are still being searched for.
