Disaster Situation
Following our initial request, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and remnants of TC Wipha have continued to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall in northern and central Laos, resulting to flashfloods and extended flooding. Among the most affected provinces are Luangprabang, Xiengkhouang, Vientiane province, Houaphan, Xayabouly. On 25 July, the Mekong River Commission reported that water levels at Vientiane station reached flood level.
