Disaster Situation
In the Almaty Region, heavy rainfall caused flooding in areas of the Karasay and Enbekshikazakh districts. Due to the rising water level in the Turgen River, flooding affected sections of the Turgen–Assy road and areas along the riverbed where resort zones are located.
According to the Akimat, areas with six yurts located between the 6th and 9th kilometers along the Turgen River, as well as the “Turgensai” recreation area, were flooded. Several makeshift pedestrian bridges were partially damaged, and traffic on the emergency bridge has been temporarily suspended.
