Disaster Situation

Super Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on July 8. Along with the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon, it brought strong winds and heavy rains. These conditions triggered flooding and landslides in parts of Mindanao, particularly in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Misamis Oriental, Sultan Kudarat, and surrounding areas.
